Nick Montgomery could return for Sheffield United against Coventry but on-loan defender Ritchie De Laet has returned to Manchester United. Manager Gary Speed is hoping to extend De Laet's loan deal but the Belgian will not be available for the visit of the Sky Blues so Andy Taylor and Matt Lowton will vie for a starting place at full-back. Montgomery, rated 50/50, has missed the last three games due to an Achilles injury which last week required an injection. Another defender, Stephen Jordan, remains sidelined due to a hamstring strain but Ched Evans is back in contention following a recurrence of a groin injury. Speed must decide whether to recall Evans or Jamie Ward to his starting line-up or retain the partnership of Richard Cresswell and Daniel Bogdanovic as the Blades chase only their second win in seven league matches.
