Next Two Games Are Win or Bust!

Sheffield United were beaten by a physical Wolves side whom on merit have climbed to top of the table, although they are not racing away from the likes of Leyton Orient and Brentford like a express train. The defeat dealt a blow to hopes of finishing in the top six with (realistically) only the last play-off spot left to fight for and is currently held by Peterborough United who lost to Rotherham United last weekend (1-0).

Of the remaining top six, the Blades still must face Brentford (1 April), Leyton Orient (5 April) and Rotherham United (8 April) in quick-fire home ties that will either make or break any chances of reaching the top six. However our next two games could prove highly pivotal with in particular the Posh's trip to Deepdale on Tuesday night which, as the Blades learned, is no easy task. The London Road club will be without a fixture this weekend, this owing to their involvement in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final against Chesterfield.

Needless to say, a defeat for the Posh and six points at Crawley and Swindon for United would see the Blades just four points behind their rivals. Meanwhile MK Dons will no doubt be looking to sneak into the play-offs, on paper they should net all three points at home to Gillingham in two days time but face Wolves at the weekend, whilst Swindon - who are seven points from the top six travel to struggling Tranmere on Tuesday night.
