We now include Watford in this article as they are now in the dogfight for a play-off place.

Watford
After losing 1:0 at Vicarage Road to Scunthorpe, Watford are now well and truly in the play-off dogfight.

After 7th, 8th and 9th all collected points with 5th and 6th both losing the Hornets will be fearing losing their play-off status after only one win in thirteen.

Crystal Palace
The Blades did Hull a favour and the Tigers did Sheffield United a favour. Hull did their part by beating Neil Warnock's Crystal Palace 2:1 at the KC Stadium. Goals from Campbell and Ashbee for Hull secured the three points off the Londoners.

Wolves
Wolves were held by Coventry at the Ricoh Arena as the scoreline ended 1:1. If the visitors had won the game then they would have been occupying a play-off spot. A goal from Ward on eighteen minutes was ruled out by twenty three goalscorer Sylvan Ebanks Blake midway through the 2nd half.

Ipswich
A late strike by Jonathan Walters for Ipswich meant that the Tractor Boys came away from Deepdale with a point. Miller was also on the scoresheet for Ipswich as they keep even more pressure on the teams around them.

Sheffield United
A Gary Speed brace meant that Sheffield United will go into the final day of the season with something to play for. A few months back everyone thought it would be relegation to League 1 but after an incredible turn around by Kevin Blackwell and his players leave the Blades still hanging in for the two final play-off spots available.
