The Blades succumbed to a 3-2 defeat at Glanford Park when Ian Crosby opened the scoring on 37 minutes before Martin Paterson (61) put the Iron 2-0 up.
Danny Webber came off the substitutes bench and quickly levelled the scoring (79 & 83) within four minutes, and with just one minute to spare both Blades Derek Geary and Iron Cliff Byrne were given their marching orders by referee Mr. Stroud.
In injury time Matthew Sparrow beat his marker at the far post to net the winner for the home side.
