Billy Sharp has rejected a move to Brian Laws' Burnley and has opted to remain at Bramall Lane in order to squeeze his way into starting place...

The Sheffielder bagged 15 goals whilst on loan for Doncaster Rovers last season and proved he can cut it in the second tier. It now seems, though, that Sharp is determined to be successful at his boyhood team. Kevin Blackwell said: "Billy's a Blade and has a desire to succeed at this club."
Sharp's decision to stay at S2 does prompt the opportunity for clubs to capture him on a free in Januaray. Kevin Blackwell ended: "I asked Billy to go and prove himself last season and he did that, so credit to him."
