Skipper reflects

Morgan didn't have the best of seasons when recorded his name in the Blades history books for the wrong reason. He receives a place for the most red cards a Blades player has ever been given (5).

He said:"Everyone was dissapointing at the start of the season and that ultimately cost us, despite a fabulous second-half to the season. It had been a funny one with plenty of highs and lows.

"The turnaround was remarkable and it was a shame we didn't have a few more matches left at the end. The captain's role is so much easier when things are going well, but you have to take the bad times too and rally with the troops when things aren't quite right."

On Blackwell he said:"Kevin came in and lifted everyone's confidence, he has had a massive effect on the turnaround and winning games make everybody at the club feel a lot better about things."

Two sending offs at the closure of the season meant he had to sit out remainder of the last several games. He finished:"I wasn't happy when i wasn't playing and it is never nice to be out of the picture. I was desperate for games."
