Last season may have been plagued by injuries for Stewart, 28, but his perfomances throughout were in inexplicably and unarguably poor. Without trying to sound disrespectful, it's a relief to Blades fans not to have the former Derby man on our books anymore.
Kevin Blackwell spoke on the defender's departure: "Jordan was a 100% trier and I wish him well in this new part of his career, but his departure opens up possibilities for us and I am considering options to provide competition and depth in the left-back position."
Stewart has left the Blades by mutual agreement.
