The Blades last game was on Wednesday night against Burnley. The United beat the FA Cup Quarter-Finalists 4-2 in what looked to be a easy game. United took a two goal lead when Michael Brown scored a brace before half-time, but ex-Blade Gareth Taylor pulled one back.

However substitute Peter Ndlovu scored a brace (2 goals) to make it 4-1, while Robbie Blake reduced the deficit by scoring in the 90th minute.

Neil Warnock may have to make some changes as Dean Windass and Stuart McCall both recieved knocks against the Clarets but we do not think it is serious, however Nick Montgomery was forced to be stretched off and we fear it will mean a long layoff.

Possible Starting Line-Up: Paddy Kenny, Phil Jagielka, Shaun Murphy, Robert Page, Robert Kozluk, Peter Ndlovu, Stuart McCall, Michael Brown, Michael Tonge, Steve Kabba, Dean Windass.

The Potters partially stopped Ipswich Town's play-off plans as both sides held each other to a 0-0 draw at Portman Road in front of 24,547 which was a very important point for the away side as they go

into a relegation battle with Grimsby Town, Sheffield Wednesday and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Tony Pulis has been busy in the transfer market in the last week or so as he has brought in experienced goalkeeper Mark Crossley as well as Mark Wilson and former Blades target Mark Williams, where all of them are expected to make there home debuts.

Possible Starting Line-Up: Mark Crossley, Frazer Richardson, Peter Handyside, Siarhei Shtaniuk, Marcus Hall, Clive Clarke, Brynjar Gunnarsson, James O'Connor, Petur Marteinsson, Lee Mills, Chris Greenacre.

Our last visit to Britannia Stadium was in 1999/97 season, strangely enough the Blades were then in semi-final of FA Cup and chasing promotion via play-offs. The game was a thrilling 2-2 draw, the game did have to wait until second half though when Gareth Taylor got onto a cross and headed straight into the goal.

But the Potters hit back with two late goals through Richard Forsyth and Peter Thorne to put the home side in front but United had the last laugh when a looping cross found the head of Brian Deane and his header sailed past former Blades keeper Carl Muggleton.

Prediction: Stoke City 1-2 Sheffield United
