The FA inexplicably choose Hillsborough

Hillsborough, a stadium which is to be extended by funds from taxpayers, and not funded by themselves like Sheffield United planned for Bramall Lane, has been given the nod in front of our modern ground, which does have a 4-star hotel adjacent to it.

The FA's hatred towards ourselves continues. It all begun in the 'Tevez Affair'. Then, they give Paddy Kenny a harsh 9-month ban, and now this. I think the FA have completely ignored that fact that Bramall Lane, the oldest ground in the world, has had Pele visit it in the last year, as well as Sepp Blatter and Jack Warner.

The South Stand is very likely to remain how it is now, and not be extened as planned.

Trevor Birch, Sheffield United's Chief Executive, commented: "We are delighted to see that the city of Sheffield has been chosen to go forward to the next stage. However, it is highly disappointing that our stadium, with its obvious benefits and current and planned facilities, has not been recognised by the FA. We will be seeking clarity from the FA and the city."
