Fans recently browsed
computer generated plans and pictures of what the stadium could possibly look like in the coming years. Plans are under consultation in regards to the South Stand, which could soon be two-tiered. The Kop has already had it's redevelopment implications submitted to Sheffield City Council.

England and The FA are lodging two bids to become hosts for the 2018 or 2020 World Cups, and if they are successful in their bid, Bramall Lane or/and Hillsborough could have their facilities used.

If the South Stand and Kop submissions are accepted by the council, this will take Beautiful Downtown Bramall Lane to a whopping 44,000 capacity venue. The extension of the two stands is an 'integral' part of the community confirms the club.

The South Stand redevelopment would include:

*An additional tier of seating increasing the capacity by more than 6,000
*A purpose built exhibition and conference centre within the stand
*New facilities for supporters including additional corporate facilities
*Affordable private housing
*Additional commercial and banqueting facilities
