Rival Championship outfit Reading have snapped up former Glasgow Rangers and Newcastle United defender Zurab Khizanishvili on loan until the remainder of the season from Blackburn Rovers.
Khizanishvili, 28 was due to be on loan to Sheffield United prior to Christmas; with a deal agreed until Newcastle United stepped in at the final hour and the Georgian international moved to St James Park instead.

He made his Magpies debut in a 2-2 draw at Barnsley before being sent-off against Doncaster Rovers, which meant he missed their 1-0 victory at Bramall Lane.
The defender could make his debut at Bramall Lane tomorrow night.
