It is no secret that the Blades boss as an eye for bargins nor is it a secret that United look weak in centre of Midfield, this is probably why Alan Quinn (who is no stranger to the Rumour Mill) is linked with the Blades once again.

Midfielder Kristian Commons is out of favour at the Britannia Stadium and could need a new club to get his career back on track while Quinn is out of contract at Hillsborough.

We believe that Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp wants to off load in the summer if he is to bring in new players that will either get them back in the Premiershup or kepp them in it if they survive this season.

However, the Wales international is currently on loan to Sunderland and if the Black Cats fail in there bid for promotion may be looking to keep Robinson in there Division One campaign next season.

United also need a 20 goal a season striker and could look at duo Scott Dobie and Robbie Blake to find those missing goals. West Bromwich Albion look destined to reach the Premiership and would be willing to let Scott Dobie go for a nominal fee as Gary Megson would look to strenghen his front two.

Burnley, however are strapped for cash and a £250,000 fee would be enough to let star striker Robbie Blake leave Turf Moor.
