The former Walsall loanee has played just 15 games for the Saints since he signed in August 2002 as a trainee and is keen to further his career with a move away from St. Mary's.
Saints boss George Burnley is also keen to bring in new players, one of these is John Hills (Stoke City) who we believed was on his way to Bramall Lane, and Burley could off load the Northern Ireland international to bring new talent.
Gary Williams (Baird's agent) told the Daily Echo: "Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Norwich, Plymouth, Leeds and Watford have all enquired about Chris.
"There has also been a slight bit of interest from Middlesbrough. I need to sit down with Rupert Lowe and see what's going on. We need to know what they're going to offer Chris, if anything."
