Bircham will playing in Division One next season after the Loftus Road club successful won promotion from Division two, beating Bristol City to second spot on the last day.
He is, however one of 14 players to be out of contract in the summer but is confident in the fact that he will remain a Hoops player next season.
But he said: "I want to stay. Everyone knows that. Hopefully the board can sort it out."
