Blades back in for Mokoena

In the closing stages of this seasons January transfer window, United did submit a bid to Rovers for the South African but Blackburn rejected it. Mokoena did turn up for United's Championship enconter at Preston but player shortage at Ewood Park meant Sam Allardyce was reluctant to let him leave.

With Chris Morgan picking up a knee injury, it could see him miss the remainder of the season which leaves the Blades with two recognised centre-backs, but for the FA Cup it leaves them with only one allowed centre-back (Matt Kilgallon) with Leigh Bromby cup-tied.

Manager Kevin Blackwell confirmed the situation: "If the injury is as bad as we think, it could be a long one and I will have to try and look for a centre half."
