Lavery, 23 was brought to Hillsborough in 2012 from Ipswich Town's youth set up but with the influx of strikers signing for the Owls, the Canadian born striker has managed just 34 appearances and scored 6 goals for the Owls. He has also spent time away on loan from S6 at; Southend United, Plymouth Argyle, Chesterfield and Portsmouth, where he partnered current Blades striker Marc McNulty.

It is believed that Blades boss Chris Wilder is looking to add to his squad following the sale of Che Adams to Birmingham City, with this particular rumour coming from BBC Radio Sheffield's Rob Staton. We would hope that this particular Wednesday player isn't destined for a stint in the Red and White, with reports elsewhere linking United with Bristol Rovers' Matty Taylor, there are better calibre of attackers out there in the Football League.
