Hendrie, 29 has played for Aston Villa throughout his professional playing career but looks set on a favourable move away from Villa Park after falling down the pecking order.

He made his debut in December 1995 in a 1-0 away defeat at Queens Park Rangers as a first half substitute, replacing Mark Draper in the 33rd minute. Alan Wright and much travelled Tommy Johnson played also for the visitors that day.
It is believed that Hendrie could move for a £1,600,000 fee and possibly earn £18,000 a week.
