Sheffield United are poised to sign former Coventry City and Nottingham Forest winger Gary McSheffrey on loan from Premier League outfit Birmingham City.
Sheffield United are in search of a new winger after losing Keith Treacy (knee) through injury; the winger on loan from Blackburn Rovers is predicted to be out for the remainder of the season.
McSheffrey, 27 is free to leave St. Andrews after falling out of favour with Blues boss Alex McLeish despite featuring four time for the club this season.
