Blades Mad sources can reveal that Henderson may put pen to paper on Monday at the earliest. The 26 year old could be a big addition to the squad with him having to fight his way into the starting eleven to play alongside James Beattie.

The South Yorkshire born front man has bagged 29 goals in 105 appearances for the Hornets in his two year stay. Despite Billy Sharp and Danny Webber being on hot form in pre-season Henderson may slide his way in front of them in the pecking order if he signs a deal at the Lane.

Meanwhile striker Rob Hulse looks to be making his way to Championship rivals Derby County with Luton Shelton been linked with Norweigan outfit Valerenga.
