Carl Asaba celebrates scoring his first of two goals against Leicester City in 2002/03 season.
The Blades are unofficially chasing Swindon Town striker Sam Parkin and is believed that the deal will still go ahead, though the Bramall Lane faithful are hopeful to hunt the signature of former forward Carl Asaba.

Asaba was signed from Gillingham for £92,500 in March 2001, and within four weeks of his arrival became an instant hero when he scored the second goal in a 2-1 win at Wednesday.

The London born forward applied his trade with Dulwhich Hamlet before eventually making 63 (16 as sub) and scored 23 goals.

He left the Lane in August 2003 to Stoke City on a free transfer where Ashley Ward became his replacement.
