Thomas, 22 has agreed a £300,000 move from Hartlepool United, who have been relegated from League Two (and into Vanarama National League) according to North East based newspaper The Northern Echo.
The newspaper has also reported that both fellow Championship rivals Leeds United and Fulham are also interested in signing the winger, but he looks set for a move to Bramall Lane this summer.
