Premier League giants Manchester City are lining up Paddy Kenny from Sheffield United as replacement for Joe Hart who has joined Birmingham City on loan.

Eastlands boss Mark Hughes is searching for suitable cover for aging keeper Shay Given who signed for City only last season in a £12,000,000 deal from Newcastle United.

It is understood that Given has recommended his fellow Republic of Ireland international shot stopper to Sparky and the 31 year old could move away from Bramall Lane for £4,000,000.
