Birmingham City boss Steve Bruce is on the look out for a new defender since they lost their Premiership status last season and will turn to Blades captain Chris Morgan.

United have recently completed the signing of Chris Lucketti, Claude Davis (both Preston) whilst David Sommeil arrived from Manchester City on a free-transfer.

Adding to add Neil Warnock already can play Phil Jagielka, Leigh Bromby Craig Short or even David Unsworth at centre-half whilst the club also hope to complete the transfer of Li Tie shortly.

Morgan, 28 joined the Blades on a free transfer from Barnsley in July 2003 and as gone onto make 122 (+ 3 as a substitute) appearances scoring 9 goals from defence - he was also placed as club captain last season as they Blades won promotion to the Premier League.
