This could see the reunion fire on all cylinders for one of United's promotion rivals. Danny is currently without a club after the Blades opted not to renew his contract over the summer.
Meanwhile, Jon Stead has been informed that he is not part of Ipswich Town's future plans when Roy Keane placed him on the transfer list.
