Blades boss Danny Wilson will struggle to select a formidable back four line-up ahead of there trip to Walsall on Tuesday night following a list of suspensions and injuries.
United lost Lescinel Jean-Francois in the first half after a tussle with Shefki Kuqi against Oldham Athletic at the weekend; they had already missed Neill Collins who sat out the game due to bereavement. And, were stretched even further by the sending offs of Matt Lowton (two yellows) and Harry Maguire.
Former Leeds defender Collins may be available for selection against the Saddlers at the Banks Stadium but with injuries and suspensions to the team Danny Wilson will have to bring in some cover. He could turn to former Sheffield United defender Matthew Kilgallon, 28 who has played over a centaury of games for the Blades and is currently a second string at Sunderland.
Killa was signed by Neil Warnock in January 2007 in a £1,750,000 deal from Yorkshire rivals Leeds United, but had to wait until late March to make his debut at Bolton Wanderers (0-1) in the top flight. United were relegated that season but still remained a Blade and in May 2009 played in Play-Off Final defeat to Burnley after being virtually ever present in his first two full seasons.
In January 2010 he left Sheffield United to join top flight Sunderland after playing a total of 124 (+2) appearances and scored four goals. He has played just four times for the Black Cats this season after the Stadium of Light club suffered injuries.
