Michael Mifsud: Premiership Bound?
Mifsud, 25 previously with Malta side Sliema Wanderers and FC Kaiserslautern (Germany) the Malta International has 43 caps and 12 goals to his name.

He is considered to be one of the best players that his Country has produced and he was instrumental when Malta recorded a victory over Hungary in the Euro 2008 Qualifiers; there first win since 1982. In 2001 and 2003 he was voted Maltese personality of the year.

Currently playing in Norway with Lillestrom SK who have in the past had Jan Aage Fjortoft and Andres Jacobsen (ex-Blades) on their books have seen their 2006 season now over and Mifsud's agent Mark Taylor looking to find the Maltese star a new club after he rejected a new offer from the Scandinavian club.

Taylor said: "Now the season is over, we're hoping for something to happen within the next few weeks."

Sheffield United had reportedly sent over scouts to monitor his final few games of the season whilst Bolton Wanderers and Reading have also shown an interest.
