Ward to fill Keeper Crisis

Sheffield United have hit something of a goalkeeper crisis following the dismissal of regular stopper Simon Moore in the defeat at Wolves last Saturday.

The former Brentford and Cardiff keeper was handed a straight red card for violent conduct following a rash challenge outside the box at Molineux.

With Jamal Blackman (on loan from Chelsea) sidelined with a groin injury, the Blades are without a first team keeper available.

We understand that the Blades will look to draft in an emergency loan deal but will need to apply to the Football League for permission. It is believed that should United be granted permission they will sign Danny Ward from Premier League side Liverpool.
