Monday night’s defeat in London didn’t help our relegation battle, but then QPR are top of the league for one reason, and one reason alone. Adding to this was Palace’s victory at home to Barnsley which now sees the Blades seven points away from safety.
Though I believe that another team (Derby & Doncaster) will soon face a relegation battle as Preston are making a late comeback, it will be the next three games which will decide United’s fate.
We have two games on the bounce with Middlesbrough and a mid-week clash with Cardiff; the Wizards I predict can pick up four points from these games whilst then travel to Preston which hasn’t been a happy ground for United in the past.
Has for Palace, they face two away games at Ipswich and Leicester – both difficult places to go to before hosting Scunthorpe in ten days time.
The relegation battle isn’t over yet, but if the Blades don’t get anything in their next three fixtures then the nails will surely be hammered into the League One coffin.
