Did You Know?

Former Sheffield United Midfielder Peter Ndlovu netted a hat-tick for the Sky Blues on 14 March 1995 at Liverpool. It was at the time a record as the Anfield club had yet to concede a hat-tick by an away team for 33 years. Incidentally the score ended 3-2 in favour of City.

01. What's the best that could happen this season?

The takeover goes through and Iain Dowie uses the money wisely to get in players who turn the club around.

02. And the worst?

The takeover does not go through and the bank wants a payment at the end of august so our decent players are sold and we have another miserable season.

03. Young player to watch?

Kevin Thornton (Midfielder) if he can avoid injury should sparkle this season

04. Most important player?

Whoever we sign who can add some missing leadership to the side

05. Player you would like to get rid of?

Kevin Kyle would be most City supporters favourite. In the words of Adrian Heath, he has not pulled up any trees since he signed and if Danny Nardiello (Barnsley) is brought in, the Scot will be further down the pecking order taking up wages for players in other positions.

06. Is your manager the right man for the job?

Iain Dowie was the best available at the time. He's a person I have always had time for and is highly knowledgeable about the game.

07. What advice would you give him?

Always stick to your decisions. If they prove to be wrong. Hold your hands up and start over again.

08. Which team do you most want to beat this season?

Considering our record in recent years against local clubs, beating anyone home and away would make a change.

09. Which opposition player will get the most stick?

Lee Hughes, if he is given parole and ever plays against us, will get massively abused and Craig Bellamy can expect the same sort of stick.

10. Where will you finish?

Last year, many City supporters got carried away by Operation Premiership and ended up let down. I'll go for a mid table finish and be happy with any place higher than that.

11. How would you rate Sheffield United and were will they finish?

If Sheff Utd are not in the Premiership, they'll be in the top three.
