Previewing Saturday's game with Preston, he said: "It is going to be a hard game against a good footballing side, but being at home should help us, and if we create the chances like we did against Southampton we must make sure we are more clinical.
"We need to be winning our home games as it is a vital advantage. You have got to impose yourself from the start and if we do that, I am sure that will stand us in good stead for the weekend.
"At Sunderland we were struggling a bit at one-point and then once we started winning we didn't stop and in the end it literally won us the league."
