Blades v Blues Preview

As I have already said our last game was against Walsall on Boxing Day at the Bescot Stadium where United won 1-0 due to a spectacular Michael Brown goal, though it came at a price as Jon Harley saw a red card after seeing two yellows waved at him.

Neil Warnock surprised us all by dropping Kabba and Tonge who both played on bench against Saddlers though I have a feeling that these two will start against Sky Blues in Saturday as they are a deadly side if you give them a inch. Carl Asaba went off injured at Walsall and we are not sure on how serious it is, never the less we think that Kabba and Allison will go up front.

Possible Line-Up: Paddy Kenny, Phil Jagielka, Shaun Murphy, Robert Page, Jon Harley, Peter Ndlovu, Stuart McCall, Michael Brown, Michael Tonge, Steve Kabba, Wayne Allison.

On Boxing Day Coventry beat Reading 2-0 at Highfield Road. Ex-Barnsley man Criag Hignett opened the scoring for the Blues while Ritchie Partridge finished the Royals off.

The Sky Blues are luck as they have no new injuries or suspensions that will go against there team selection, though Keith O'Neil is a

long term injury. There is also a slight chance that Moroccan Youseff Chippo could return after recovering from a broken rib but this is very unlikely.

Possible Line-Up: Morton Hydlgaard, Gary Caldwell, Mo Konjic, Richard Shaw, Craig Pead, Barry Quinn, Gary McAllister, Craig Hignett, Ritchie Partridge, Jay Bothroyd, Dean Holdsworth.

In last seasons encounter at Bramall Lane the game ended 1-0 to the Sky Blues when Laurent Delorge 72nd minute goal was enough to seal a win.

Prediction: This will be tough as Coventry are a good side but with the Blades lying in 3rd they will be expected to win though I think that it will end up as a draw.
