Blades v Robins Preview

With our game with Burnley at Bramall Lane surprisingly postponed it meant that the home fixture against Coventry City was our last game. The game ended 0-0 but the Sky Blues had Dean Gordon sent off for two book able offences.

The Blades will have to make a few changes to the United line-up, firstly is the left back position as Jon Harley has returned to Fulham leaving either Steve Yates or possibly Robert Kozluk taking up that left back role though Yates is better positioned.

Striker Carl Asaba is still out with that thigh injury, but Steve Kabba will be able to play as he is not cup-tied for the FA Cup.

Possible line-up: Paddy Kenny, Phil Jagielka, Shaun Murphy, Robert Page, Steve Yates, Peter Ndlovu, Stuart McCall, Michael Brown, Michael Tonge, Steve Kabba, Wayne Allison.

The Robins Division Two game on New Years Day did not go quite to plan as played away at Playmouth Argyle at Home Park where the game ended 3-1 to the Pilgrims, Phillips, Stonebridge and Norris scored all three goals for the home side while a Worrell own goal handed Robins goal.

Cheltenham hope to have striker Russell Milton back after missing the last two games with a virus, as has fellow striker Paul Brayson, who had a 10-minute run-out at the end of the New Year's Day game with Plymouth.

Defender John Finnigan, who was also on the bench at Plymouth after a back injury but was not used, will be hoping to play a more prominent role.

Please Note: After the game with Burnley was postponed it was noted that this cup-tie with Cheltenham may NOT go a head and could too be postponed. Blades-Mad advises that all fans (especially long distance traveling fans) put on their local BBC Radio Station or FiveLive (MW 606 or 909) the second you leave your homes to make sure the game is on or not.

Prediction: Cheltenham without a doubt will want to do some Giant Killing, and what better way to do against a side who are high in Division One and in Semi-Finals of the Worthington Cup. I think that United though will win this game, I am going for a 3-0 score line.
