Jones Handed Yorkshire Derby

JonesJones has already taken charge of two games this season; he was match official when the Blades lost 1-0 at Barnsley and also sent off Ashley Young as United lost their third round FA Cup tie with Aston Villa at Bramall Lane in January.

He started refereeing at the age of 15 and in 2004 was fourth official for the Carling Cup Final between Middlesbrough and Bolton Wanderers. He was referee for the 2007 League Two Play-Off Final and the FA Trophy Final in 2009.

He recently took charge of the Midlands Derby between Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion (1-3) as well as the FA Cup game last Sunday when Stoke City (2-1) booked a place in the semi-final after beating West Ham United at their Britannia Stadium.
