United have been a tough nut to crack lately with them losing only two games in the last five months. Both of those defeats were to fellow South Yorkshire rivals, so we wonder if Barnsley can do a clean sweep of local defeats over the Blades tonight? And despite the nerves and tension the derby will throw up, Kilgallon is excited of the prospect of doing the double over the Tykes.

He said: "It is going to be exciting, local derbies always are, and with it being a night game the atmosphere is that bit more special. We have just got to treat it like another game and keep doing what has brought us success this season. The way our attacking players are playing at the moment you just know we are going to be dangerous.

"I scored against Barnsley last season which was a brilliant feeling, but scoring always is so it would be good to get another this time around."

Kilgallon who was recently presented with the Player of the Year Award, continued: "The lads are focused on winning the game and that is all that is in our minds. Everybody at the club is desperate for that second spot.

"Everything goes out of the window in these sorts of matches. They will be up for it and fighting for their lives, but if the lads perform to what we are capable of then we should get a positive result."
