With Sheffield Wednesday in League One where they belong the Blades will look forward to a high tempo contest against the Whites which won promotion to the Championship last season.

United have had a dithering start to the season, but since a change of personnel (drafting in Gary Speed as manager) the Blades have won three in the last five matches - including their last outing with Ched Evans firing home a thunderous free-kick to secure a 1-0 win over Portsmouth.

In midweek the reserves claimed a 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday is the totesport.com league; Daniel Bogdanovic netting a first half penalty following a handball

Keeper Richard Wright made his debut in the mini derby following his four month signature on Tuesday and is likely to be included in the eighteen man squad to face Leeds this weekend.

However the Red and White Wizards will be without skipper Chris Morgan (calf) with Nyron Nosworthy likely to replace the former Barnsley defender. Full-Back Robert Kozluk (leg) limped off during the reserves win against the Owls and is also unlikely to feature at Elland Road.

The duo is added to an injury list which already includes striker Darius Henderson (hamstring), Lee Williamson (back) and Ryan France (knee) who will be out of action for some time.

Richard Cresswell is likely to start against his former club; the striker signed for the Whites from Preston North End in August 2005 in a £1,115,000 transfer; making his debut in a 1-0 victory at Norwich City. He joined Stoke City two years later having made 31 (13) appearances and scoring 11 goals.

Expected Eleven: Steve Simonsen, Jean Calvé, Kyle Bartley, Nyron Nosworthy, Stephen Jordan, Johannes Ertl, Jamie Ward, Leon Britton, Nick Montgomery, Richard Cresswell, Ched Evans.
