Match Preview: Sheffield United v Charlton Athletic

The Blades go into this game having travelled to the Riverside Stadium last Wednesday night to face Middlesbrough in the FA Cup Fifth Round Replay.

Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell is likely to see a full fit team at his disposal with defender Ego Ehiogu (hamstring) and midfielders Lee Martin (rib) and Gary Speed (groin) all passing fit for their mid-week trip to the Boro.

Winger David Cotterill is also likely to return to the squad after missing the FA Cup tie due to suspension.

Possible Blades Line-Up: Paddy kenny, Derek Geary, Chris Morgan, Matthew Kilgallon, Gary Naysmith, David Cotterill, Michael Tonge, Gary Speed, Lee Martin, Rob Hulse, Luton Shelton.

Charlton Athletic travel to Bramall Lane with defender Kelly Younga returning to the side after sitting out a one match suspension during their 5-3 defeat to Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.

Alan Pardew is however unlikely to see former Sheffield Wednesday defender Majid Bougerra fit enough to encounter the Blades, but England U-21 international Winger Jerome Thomas could start.

The Addicks are likely to feature two former Sheffield United strikers somewhere in their line-up - Andy Gray and Izale McLeod.

Andy Gray, who has to date netted thirteen goals this season featured for the Blades between February 2004 and August 2005. he signed from Bradford City along with Simon Francis and netted 28 goals in 63 games (+2) for the Blades before joining Sunderland in a £1.1M deal.

Izale Mcleod joined the Blades on loan between March 2004 to May 2004 from Derby County, he started just once as well as making six substitute appearances before returning to Pride Park. He later played for Milton Keynes Dons before signing for the Valley club last summer.
