It is very likely that Bryan Robson will follow suit of former Blades manager Neil Warnock and stick to a reserve side in the League Cup with promotion to the Premiership at the highest order on top of his wish list.

Therefore its likely he will tinker with his squad and field second choice keeper Ian Bennett or Paul Gerrard whilst Geoff Horsfield and Jonathan Stead might be chosen upfront.

One thing is for sure that skipper Chris Morgan (calf) and striker Rob Hulse (broken leg) will be out of action due to injury.

Possible Blades Line-Up: Ian Bennett, Leigh Bromby, Chris Lucketti, Gary Naysmith, Matthew Kilgallon, David Carney, Alan Quinn, Ahmed Fathi, Stephen Quinn, Geoff Horsfield, Jonathan Stead.

Chesterfield opened there League Two account with a 0-0 draw at Chester City; following a turbulent season the Recreation Ground club found themselves relegated along with local rivals Rotherham United.

The visitors could call upon the services of Paul Shaw, Jack Lester and Wayne Alliosn who are all formerly applied their services at Sheffield United during there Professional career.

However striker Paul Shaw is battling to be fit against a throat infection that ruled him out last Saturday whilst Gareth Davies (Broken Toe) is expected to be sidelined for up to six weeks.

Possible Spirites Line-Up: Barry Roche, Phil Picken, Aaron Downes, Janos Kovacs, Gregor Robertson, Jamie Winter, Derek Niven, Peter Leven, Jamie Ward, Steve Fletcher, Jack Lester.
