Sheffield United look set to be without Lee Hendrie (Achilles) and Rob Hulse (broken leg); the former Aston Villa midfielder missed the trip to Watford after he had an operation on his troubled leg and could be made available again for the home fixture with Southampton on 29 September.

Skipper Chris Morgan (calf) made a welcome return to the squad after he missed the opening day draw with Colchester United (2-2) due to injury.

United have, at their disposal for Albion striker Geoff Horsfield. Signed from Wigan in December 2003 and sold to the Blades in May 2006; at the Hawthorns he started 52 games (+21 as a sub) and netted 15 goals.

Rob Hulse; who is currently injured is also a former baggie. He was signed from Crewe in July 2003 and sold to Leeds United in May 2005; beating the Blades to his signature. He played 35 (+11) games and netted 13 goals for the Midlands club.

Possible Blades Line-Up: Paddy kenny, Derek Geary, Chris Lucketti, Chris Morgan, Matthew Kilgallon, Keith Gillespie, Nick Montgomery, Alan Quinn, Michael Tonge, James Beattie, Billy Sharp.

West Bromwich Albion got off to a stern start last Saturday with a grilling 2-0 victory over Preston North End. The Baggies looked jaded in the first half but were well worth the victory in the second; Kevin Phillips and Ishmael Miller grabbing the goals.
