bladesvleedsunitedSince the Peacocks recorded that 1-0 victory over Sheffield United last September they have hit top form – though they hit a blip when they lost at home to Preston North End (4-6) and Cardiff City (0-4).

However they soon got back to winning ways and went on a twelve match unbeaten run which saw them fly up the table from twelfth to fourth position in the table.

Recently in they drew with Barnsley (3-3) and beat Doncaster Rovers (5-2), both at Elland Road in Yorkshire Derby’s – last Saturday they drew 0-0 with Ipswich Town in what was considered a poor performance in contrast.

A win would have put the Whites level on points with second placed Swansea City as Leeds chase back to back promotions.

Peacocks boss Simon Grayson may see full-back defender Paul Connelly return from injury; the former Derby County and Plymouth Argyle man has been out with a hamstring injury but was played a full 90 minutes in the Leeds Reserves victory (6-0) over Gateshead this week.

They could feature former Sheffield United defenders Leigh Bromby and, Paul Connelly against their former club at Bramall Lane this Saturday.

Paul Connolly spent time at the Lane on loan from Plymouth Argyle last season; he made his debut in the 3-0 win over Blackpool and went onto make seven appearances for the club –receiving a red card in the 0-0 draw to Barnsley.

Leigh Bromby has spent two different spells at Bramall Lane during his professional career; he was first signed by Neil Warnock on a free transfer after being released by Sheffield Wednesday in June 2004 – making his debut in a 1-1 draw at Burnley.

He was part of the Blades side which won promotion to the Premier League in May 2006 but failed to hold down a regular first team place and after 119 (6) appearances and six goals he joined Watford in January 2008 in a £600,000 fee.

However he returned initially on loan in January 2009 before signing permanently – though he left at the end of the season after only six games to join current club Leeds. In total he has made 126 (14) appearances for the club and scored seven goals.
