With Wednesday winning two of the last three Steel City Derbies, they will go into the game confident, although as underdogs. Brian Laws believes that the pressure will be on the red and white wizards.

He said: "We have the edge over Sheffield United and it's down to them to stop us. One thing is for sure, they'll be more nervy about us than anything else.

"It is one of the biggest games of the season, in fact it is the biggest game, particularly in Sheffield and it's a game that gets built up a lot. Everybody knows about it and we're hoping for a fantastic game and hopefully a fantastic result.

"We tried it last year, there was a 94-year gap since we last did the double over Sheffield United - so now it's 95 years. I hope it's concluded this year and I want to win this for the supporters particularly and to have the bragging rights.

"I think this is the time when you get your name written in history and I want to be apart of that. It's part of the history of this football club and to say it's not been achieved for more than 95 years tells you it's always been a tough task and I don't think it's going to get any easier."
