Last updated : 19 October 2011 By @blades_mad1889

The Blades fixture with the Owls, held at Bramall Lane and ended 2-2 despite the Blades taking a two goal lead through Stephen Quinn (11 minutes) and Ched Evans (20) in the first half. They held out until final ten minutes when goals from Chris O’Grady and Gary Madine secured a draw.

United were due to face the Lilywhites on Saturday, 8th October but due to three internationals in the opposition camp the game was called off and re-arranged for tomorrow night. They head to Deepdale with no outstanding new injuries, although defender Harry Maguire (knee) will face a late fitness test.

On-loan Blackpool winger Matt Phillips is set to make his full debut for United – he came off the substitutes bench against the Owls whilst Billy Clarke who joined also from Blackpool on loan will be pushing for a first start.

Preston North End was in League One action last Saturday at Walsall with the Saddlers winning 1-0 with a goal from Alex Nicholls after only 10 minutes.

North End is expected to be without striking duo Iain Hume (hamstring) and Neil Mellor (ankle) through injury. Lilywhites boss Phil Brown told the Lancashire Evening Post: "At the moment there's a question mark about how long (Hume) is going to be out. As for Neil, unfortunately I don't think he will be able to play any part in the two games this week." Jamie Proctor and Juvhel Tsoumou are expected to take their places.
