Sheffield United look to continue their great start to the 2011-12 npower League One season with a trip to Scunthorpe United this weekend.

The Blades boosted there early bid for promotion with a 4-0 victory over Bury last Saturday, it was only six months ago that the pair were two Divisions apart but with relegation and promotion forming both sides were on equal terms.

But in an entertaining display United swept aside the Shakers in a convincing win which saw Chris Porter (43 minutes), Nathaniel Mendez-Laing (47), Matt Lowton (71) and Erik Tonne (84) all found the net.

Blades boss Danny Wilson is boosted by the availability of striker Ched Evans who completed 70 minutes in the midweek 3-0 reserve victory over Burton Albion.

Scunthorpe United comes into this fixture on back of a 1-1 draw with Colchester United last weekend.

The Iron are without regular shot stopper Josh Lillis who has been ruled out for up to three months with knee ligament damage but have stepped in quick to recruit Sam Johnstone on loan from Manchester United and is likely to make his debut tomorrow against the Blades.

They are also without Cliff Bryne (back), Michael Collins (Achilles), ex-Blade Jordan Robertson (ankle) and Matty Godden (groin) through injury – whilst Bobby Grant serves a one match ban.

We’ve met before...

It’s not been so sunny at Scunny for the Blades in recent years; The Iron completed the double over United last season, winning 4-0 at the Lane during Gary Speed’s reign and during the times of Micky Adams lost 3-2 at Glanford Park despite taking an early 2-0 lead.
