The Blades come into this League One fixture having staking their second defeat of the season at Wycombe Wanderers (0-1) last Saturday and will now look to bounce back against the Addicks this weekend.

Blades boss Danny Wilson has a number of injuries on his unavailability list; Chris Morgan (knee), Nick Montgomery (ankle), Andy Taylor (knee) and Johannes Ertl (knee) are all sidelined through injury.

League leaders Charlton Athletic come into this game after a fixture with highly rated Milton Keynes Dons at Stadium:MK last Tuesday night, drawing 1-1 with a bullet header from Yann Kermogant (75 minutes), cancelling out Shaun Williams early (21) spot kick.

Athletic have yet to be beaten in the league to date this season with their only loss coming in the League Cup at home to Preston North End (0-2).

Charlton boss Chris Powell is hoping to keep the same side which started in Milton Keynes but will be without midfielder Bradley Pritchard (broken metatarsal) but striker Paul Benson (fractured finger) could return after recovering from injury.

We’ve met before...

Sheffield United have a very good record against Charlton Athletic; gaining 21 victories in 32 matches played at Bramall Lane – our last encounters with Athletic were during the 2008/09 season where the Blades lost out on promotion, losing the Play-Off Final to Burnley (0-1).

It was in this season that the two clubs recorded the highest aggregate score between one another with seven goals blasted in a 5-2 victory to United at the Valley. At Bramall Lane the Blades gained a 3-1 win and also 2-1 in the FA Cup.

The Addicks last victory at the Lane came on 1 March 2008 when they stole away with a two-nil win.
