Shrewsbury Town vs. Sheffield United

The Blades have hit terrible form and have yet to record a league victory since Boxing Day when they beat Scunthorpe United 3-0, since then they have sucummed to three home defeats in a row; including the 2-1 defeat by Coventry City last Friday night. United thought they had drawn the match level when Dave Kitson headed home in the second half to cancel out Leon Clarke's first time effort but the former Sheffield Wednesday striker pounced again to net the winner and leave United clinging onto that last play-off spot.

They were intended to face Crawley Town at Bramall Lane last Tuesday night, but over night snow put paid to any football being played and the match was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Blades boss Danny Wilson without striker Shaun Miller (cruciate knee ligament), meanwhile keeper Mark Howard (thigh) and defender Lescinel Jean-Francois (knee) have returned to training but are unlikely to see first team action soon. Whilst fellow defender Matt Hill (broken jaw) is also ruled out and expected to return to training at the beginning of March and Marcus Williams (illness) missed the trip to Meadow Lane last weekend, Darryl Westlake is likely to continue in that role.

Shrewsbury Town lay 18th in the table and seven points clear of the relegation zone after losing just once in the last ten matches, though have only picked up three victories during that run; including a 2-1 win over Preston North End in there last outing last weekend. Stuart Beavon (43) had hit the Lilywhites into a one goal lead before the Shrews levelled through John Taylor (68) and snatched a winner in stoppage time when Matthew Richards (90) scored from the penalty spot.

Town boss Graham Turner could feature new signing Rob Edwards (on loan from Barnsley) to face Sheffield United this weekend with the possibility of Yado Mambo being relegated to the substitutes bench. Forward Luke Rodgers has returned to the starting line-up after recovering from illness whilst Marvin Morgan and Tom Bradshaw will both battle for a starting role.

Blades-Mad Prediction: Shrewsbury Town 0-1 Sheffield United
