How did they fare in 2011/2012? Former Blade Paul Peschisolido entered his third season as Burton Albion manager and found the going tough. Following a run which saw the Brewers winless in 14 outings, the former Blades forward was fired following a 4:1 home defeat against Torquay United. Peschisolido's right hand man, Gary Rowett, was handed the reins at the Pirelli Stadium on a temporary basis, and he manged to steer the Brewers to a safe finish after toying with the drop out of League Two into non-league football.

Last time we met: Burton Albion 1:2 Sheffield United. The Blades survived a scare beside the Trent in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy 1st round when second half goals from David McAllister and Erik Tonne cancelled out Justin Richards's strike which preceded.

Player to watch out for: Billy Kee. The striker netted 12 times in 18 appearances for relegation-threatened Burton last term, and he could prove to be a handful if fit and selected.
