McDonagh, 18 has yet to be given an opportunity to shine in the first team but has recieved youth caps for Northern Ireland.
Last season he had a short spell on loan at matlock Town but has now joined Chester on a month's loan deal and is likely to be included in this Saturday's trip to league leaders Forest Green Rovers.
