Sheffield United drew 1-1 with Londoners West Ham United at their Boleyn Ground just days after the Blades had demolished Leicester City by seven goals to two and were leading Division Two by a marginal two points ahead of Huddersfield Town.

Both goals came in the first half as Alf Ringstead netted for the visitors, it was his sixth goal in five consecutive fixtures.

The United team that day was; Burgin, Furniss, G Shaw, J Shaw, Johnson, Denial, Ringstead, Hagan, Browning. Brook and Hawksworth.
