Blackwell gets 1st win as it's Beattie to the rescue

Great work and a great cross from David Cotterill met James Beattie who could slot the ball into the top corner of the net.

The 1st half wasn't the best of half's and not very mutch happend expect a Gary Naysmith yellow card for wasting time in the 20th minute.

The 2nd half started brightly for the Blades as Kevin Blackwell was looking for his 1st win as the Blades manager and so he did.

James Beattie won the ball back as Plymouth were set to attack and he passed the ball out on the wing to Cotterill who crossed a superb ball into the area which was met by James Beattie who got his 2nd goal in 2 games for the Blades.

Plymouth were pressing for a equaliser and after a shot by Easter took 2 deflections but Kenny wasn't fooled and parryed the ball away for a corner.

5 minutes was held up on the board on the 90th minute and Plymouth were trying their very best to score but they couldn't get past the Blades defence until, 3 Plymouth players broke into the area unmarked and they were all 1 on 1 with Kenny but Kenny made himself big and saved.

So this was the 1st win in the Kevin Blackwell era. He will be looking for his 2nd win on Tuesday night against Coventry.
