The Foxes had to settle for a single as point as they failed to break down a very good defencive Sheffield United site.

Leicester improved performance in the second half as they could not find a way to get past Paddy Kenny, however it was United who came closest to stealing all three points when striker Steve Kabba rattled the cross bar after only seven minutes of play.

Micky Adams had fielded a unchanged side from the one that beat Grimsby Town 2-1 last weekend. United had changed there front two as Windass and Kabba replaced Asaba and Allison who helped beat Sunderland 2-0 in League Cup.

Dean Windass had the first chance of the match to score when Kabba was brought down for a foul, but Windass's 25 yard free-kick flew over the crossbar. Moments later Paul Dickov's shot just went wide of goal.

Leicester had won 9 of their last 10 league games at Walkers

Stadium this season, almost went behind when Kabba cus inside from left and fired a shot against the crossbar on 7th minute, and shortly McCall failed to hit the target with a right-footed shot.

United continuously looked impressive early on and Windass (on loan from Middlesbrough) almost scored when he prodded the ball just wide from close range.

City had put three attackers up front in the shape of James Scowcroft, Paul Dickov and Trevor Benjamin. All of which wern't impressive as they failed to beat the inform Kenny.

On 33 minutes Adams was forced to make a change when Callum Davidson was injured, he was replaced by Jordon Stewart before Billy McKinlay tested Kenny from edge of the area.

At Blundell Park last week, Frank Sinclair was sent off, though in Blades match he was booked after fouling Blades superstar Michael Tonge before Adams took Benjamin off in place of Nicky Sumberbee in a tractical switch.

Scottish International managed to get round Blades defenders on 43rd minute only to be denied by the feet of Kenny.

Half-Time: Leicester City 0-0 Sheffield United

Just after the break Sumberbee headed just wide and then Kenny saved again following Taggert's header on 49th minute.

After a foul on Michael Brown, McKinlay went into the book, minutes later Scowcroft smashed a ball wide and then had a header saved by Kenny.

Neil Warock made his first change of the match with 20 minutes left when Wayne 'The Chief' Allison came on for Dean Windass, Windass however was not happy as he stormed down the tunnel in anger.

McKinay volleyed wide of post from outside area as Leicester dominated procession. Kabba was then with drawn for Carl Asaba in a tactical move.

Michael Brown was then booked before Turkish International Muzzy Izzet headed over on 79th minute and Kenny saved again a Dickov shot before the end of the game.

Full-Time: Leicester City 0-0 Sheffield United

Man of the Match: BBC Radio Sheffield gave Australian International Shaun Murphy there man of the match but I feel that Paddy Kenny deserves it too, so I will award it to both.
