Sheffield United got the best start to their game against a quality side. United won a free-kick with in seconds of kick-off and Michael Brown converted to make it 1-0 .

What must be three minutes later United got their second, a Blades frowning met the head of Onoura and Michael Tonge finished.

15 minutes in Norwich had a few attacks and a far post cross was cleared by Paddy Kenny.

In same position as Michael Brown scored United got a free-kick five minutes later but McCall's shot went straight to Green.

21 minutes gone Michael Brown was substituted for Cal Asaba as Brown was injured.

Moments later ex-Wednesday player and Canaries manager was sent into stand, presumably for arguing with referee Phil Dowd.

On half hour mark Tonge was brought down in penalty area, won penalty, Darren Kenton should have received his second booking but didn't and Robert Ullathorne was booked for protesting. Meanwhile Carl Asaba coolly converted the penalty, 3-0.

Ten minutes later Iffy Onoura was sent-off for allegedly ell-bowing Malky Mackay, a bit harsh when Kenton should have already gone.

A minute later Tonge was booked for arguing with referee after giving away a free-kick in front of goal. The free-kick was easily saved by Kenny.

Half-Time: Norwich City 0-3 Sheffield United

At half time David Nielsen came on for Clint Easton, Norwich are now playing with three attackers.

United started off ok, Norwich had one or two chances but came to nothing. Jon-Paul McGovern's shot was saved by Green four minutes in.

Norwich went close Iwan Roberts header went wide after Canaries crossed on 59 minutes.

Three minutes later Norwich had two chances to pull one back, Gary Holt drilled ball into United half (25yards from goal) but Stuart McCall cleared. 15 seconds later Notman's cross was cleared by the head of Jagielka.

On 69 minutes the Blades should have made it four, Michael Tonge's defence splitting run, passed to Asaba, but Green's world class save stopped Asaba from scoring.

Moments later a Roberts header skimmed top of the bar after Alex Notman crossed.

Around 75 minute mark John-Philipe Javary was brought on in place of Nick Montgomery.

A few minutes later a Canaries free-kick was met by boot of Welsh International Iwan Roberts at close range but Paddy Kenny foiled with a brilliant save.

Paul McVeigh nearly scored when Mackay's corner was headed just wide of goal.

With 5 minutes left Paul McVeigh got his goal when he stopped United's clean sheet when he headed home a Roberts corner, Kenny claimed that he had caught the ball first, Mr Dowd wern't impressed and booked him.

Jon-Paul McGovern was brought off for young defender Colin Cryan.

In 2 minutes added on time Norwich scored another when Malky Mackey scored with a timely header.

Paul McVeigh came off for Russell but the substitute was not enough to try and get a equaliser in last minute.

Full-Time: Norwich City 2-3 Sheffield United

Man of the Match: The whole team played fantastic, a great performance but a great shame that we had to give two goals away at the end. This MOTM will go to two players, firstly to Paddy Kenny who pulled off brilliant saves throughout the game.

Carl Asaba will get the second, it would have took he a lot of courage to put in the penalty when last week he had fans on his back after a poor performance against Wednesday which would not have done his confidence any good.
